LUV2ACT — Drama Classes for Children

Here at LUV2ACT we celebrate the special gift within each and every child! We encourage self expression, self esteem and team work within a supportive and fun environment. We aim to ensure that every child feels acknowledged and that their individuality is honored and nurtured. We are committed to inspiring workshops and high quality productions that embrace the diverse talents and abilities of a wide range of children.

WORKSHOPS

Ages 3–6 and 7–12

Within our workshops we explore movement, puppetry, creative writing, dance, voice, devising, improvisation and have some serious fun. We work towards the sharing of our devised shows with family, friends and the greater community. Through our process, the young performers gain an understanding of theater and essential performance techniques whilst exploring their own creativity.

In addition to drama skills, our workshops are also about:

  • Team work
  • Nurturing self-esteem and confidence building
  • Communication skills
  • Co-devising
  • Developing literacy skills and where appropriate, we support the national curriculum
  • Providing a platform for individual thought and self expression.

SHOWS THAT SHOW!

We create high quality plays and shows which reflect the interests and aspirations of our performers through an empowering and innovative process. We feel that the real joy and benefits of theater and drama for children and young people can be over shadowed by an atmosphere of competition which is why we focus on creating an inclusive company where everyone feels respected for exactly who they are.

Drama is such a powerful tool for communication which is why we devise shows that reflect the interests and passions of our performers. This is their drama company and they get to express the themes which matter to them.

LITTLE ONES AT LUV2ACT!

Our classes for the little ones are all about play! We use games which engage their imagination and encourage them to use their body. Parents can stay until their child feels comfortable within the class and then they are free to go, knowing that their little ones are having lots of creative fun!
